CURRENT, PLANNED AND PAST ACTIVITIES
The following summary outlines in detail various key available resources and credentials of the College of Science, as well as providing the investigators' qualifications, resumes, international publications and work experiences related to the proposed work: 1. King Saud University is one of the leading research and education institutes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of Biodiversity. It has enormous research and development facilities as well as organized access to world-wide information centers. 2. The College of Science at King Saud University has a student body that currently exceeds 7000 students, and 320 full time faculties. The College contains the first and largest Zoological Museum and Herbarium in the Kingdom. In addition, it is the base for the Saudi Biological Society. 3. The investigators involved in the proposed project possess diverse expertise spanning a wide range of utility management as well as operational and planning aspects. 4. The investigators have carried out pertinent research and development activities as well as field experience in the area of Biodiversity. 5. The investigators have encompassing national and international contacts, which would enable them to establish, run, and operate such a center.
